Here's my favorite pork chop recipe. It's
cooked using Chinese Barbecue sauce - char siu sauce. You
can find char siu sauce quite easily in any grocery store
in their imports section. You can cook as many pork chops
as you want for this recipe, just use 1 tablespoon of char
siu sauce per pork chop.
Chinese Fry Pork Chops
Pork chops - 2 (about 1.5cm thick)
Green onions - 1 (cut into thin strips)
Garlic - 2 cloves (diced)
Char siu sauce - 2 tablespoons
Salt 1/2 teaspoon
Corn starch - 2 tablespoons
Chinese cooking wine - 2 tablespoons
Oil - 3 to 4 tablespoons
-
Marinate the pork chops with the starch
and Chinese cooking wine.
-
Heat oil to medium high in a frying pan.
Add in the garlic, and stir.
-
Add in the pork chops, and sautee. Cook
each side for about 2 to 3 minutes. Use a brush or spoon
to brush on the char siu sauce. Do it for both sides of
the pork.
-
When the pork is cooked, add in green
onions. Cook for 1 minute, then dish up.
See how easy this pork chop recipe is? I especially like
the green onions in it. Click
